NEW STUDENTS

Bikram Yoga is an amazing 90-minute class designed to work every muscle, bone, joint, ligament, tendon, gland and organ in the body.

We believe everyone can benefit from regular Bikram yoga practice, so we want your first experience to be a positive one.

What you need to know before your first class.

  • Be ready to sweat. Classes are 90 minutes long, and the room is heated, allowing for deeper and safer stretching.
  • Arrive early. We ask all first-time students to please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to class. You'll need to complete our waiver form. New students under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign their waiver form in person.
  • Bring water, a yoga mat and a towel. If you forget to bring your own, don’t worry: we have mats and towels available for rent and water you can purchase.
  • Talk to us. Be sure to let the staff and instructors know about any injuries or special physical circumstances.
  • Dress to stretch. Wear something you will be comfortable in when stretching...and sweating. Be sure to bring a change of clothes.
  • Hydrate.Hydrate.Hydrate. Make sure you are well hydrated (two 8 oz. glasses within 3 hours prior to class) and bring water to class. (You can purchase water at the studio.)
  • Avoid heavy foods before class. Don't eat anything heavy 2 to 3 hours prior to taking class.
  • Be early. Classes start promptly, so be sure to arrive early for your class. Students will not be allowed into class after the teacher enters, for respect of others in the class.
  • Give it your best. Try to remain in the yoga room during your first class. If you must leave the room, please do so quietly and return quietly when you are ready.

We want you to enjoy your first class and come back regularly. The more you practice, the greater the benefits.
